After 26 years of horseback riding, Ride Clear's CEO and Founder, Alyssa, knew firsthand the challenges that came with spending hours in the saddle especially under the hot Arizona sun. Between the sweat, forehead breakouts, and uncomfortable imprint lines left behind by her helmet, she knew there had to be a better way.
Determined to find a solution, Alyssa began cutting her own hydrocolloid forehead patches to wear beneath her helmet. The results were exactly what she had been looking for a simple, comfortable barrier that helped protect her skin while riding.
What started as a personal solution quickly became something she knew other riders could benefit from. Together with Co-Founders Andie, Chief Marketing Officer, and Mckenna, Chief Innovation Officer, the three brought that idea to life. And just like that, Ride Clear was born!
Our mission is simple: to help riders feel comfortable and confident every time they put on their helmets. Less worrying about sweat, friction, and forehead irritation. More time enjoying the ride. Because the best rides should leave memories, not marks.
Meet Our Founders
Alyssa Mamolen
Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer
A lifelong equestrian and competitive hunter/jumper rider, Alyssa Mamolen’s connection to the sport runs generations deep. Raised in a family of passionate horsemen and women, with a mother and grandparents who all shared a love of riding, horses have been an integral part of her life for as long as she can remember. She made her show ring debut in the lead line division at just five years old, marking the beginning of a lifelong passion that has carried her through more than 25 years of competitive riding. For Alyssa, equestrian sport is more than a hobby—it is a family legacy, a lifelong commitment, and a defining part of who she is.
Beyond the show ring, Alyssa has built a successful career in corporate finance at Intel Corporation, developing expertise in financial strategy, investment analysis, business planning, and manufacturing process excellence. Her background in financial modeling, strategic negotiations, and cross-functional leadership brings a strong analytical and entrepreneurial perspective to RideClear. Alyssa holds bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Accounting, as well as an MBA, from Arizona State University’s W. P. Carey School of Business.
RideClear was born at the intersection of Alyssa’s professional expertise and lifelong passion for equestrian sport. After decades of experiencing the sweat, friction, and skin irritation that come with long days in a riding helmet, she recognized an opportunity to create an innovative, elevated solution designed specifically for riders.
For Alyssa, RideClear represents more than a business venture. It is an opportunity to give back to the sport that has shaped her life, honor the equestrian traditions passed down through her family, and build a brand that understands riders because it was created by one.
Andie Wortmann
Co-Founder & Chief Marketing Officer
Born and raised in Arizona, Andie Wortmann is an entrepreneur and marketing professional with a passion for building brands, bringing ideas to life, and creating products that make a difference.
With experience owning, launching, and growing businesses, Andie brings a creative and strategic approach to brand development, marketing, and business growth. She has built her career around turning ideas into recognizable brands and creating meaningful connections between products and the people who use them.
With a love for the outdoors and an active lifestyle, Andie was naturally drawn to the vision behind Ride Clear. What began as an innovative idea quickly became an opportunity to collaborate with a passionate team of co-founders to build something both practical and purposeful.
As Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Director, Andie is dedicated to growing Ride Clear into a brand that prioritizes quality, comfort, and innovation, creating thoughtful products that support not only equestrians but active individuals of all kinds.
McKenna Winn
With over a decade of experience in the aesthetics industry, McKenna Winn is a licensed aesthetician and cosmetic laser technician with a passion for skin health, innovation, and helping others feel confident in their skin.
Throughout her career, McKenna has developed an extensive understanding of skin physiology, ingredient science, and the everyday factors that contribute to breakouts and skin irritation. Her experience treating a wide range of skin concerns has given her a unique perspective on the importance of prevention and protecting the skin from environmental stressors.
As a Co-Founder of Ride Clear, McKenna brings her clinical knowledge and hands-on experience to product development, helping bridge the gap between skincare and equestrian performance. Her expertise plays an integral role in refining the design, functionality, and skin-conscious approach behind Ride Clear’s innovative forehead patches.
Driven by the belief that skincare should extend beyond the treatment room, McKenna is passionate about creating practical solutions that help riders protect their skin without compromising their performance or confidence.
Through Ride Clear, she hopes to redefine how equestrians approach skin protection, bringing thoughtful skincare innovation into a sport where comfort, confidence, and performance go hand in hand.
